Speciality sales sought in Singapore

July sees a new UK pavilion at the launch event , Speciality & Fine Food Asia (SFFA), 18-20 July, Suntec, Singapore.  

The UK group, organised by the Food & Drink Exporters Association (FDEA), in conjunction with PS8 Ltd, will feature 11 UK exhibitors looking for new contacts in specialty retail and foodservice outlets.  Buyers will see a wide range of premium, organic and natural food products, including organic baby pasta, sauces and ready meals for kids from Ocram, waters and soft drinks from Illuminated Water and Karimix with its traditional and fusion aromas and flavours worldwide for the modern kitchen.. Download our catalogue of exhibitors - click here (pdf) OR DOWNLOAD OUR APP 

Singapore is an important market for UK Exports which are respected as high quality, premium products.  Food & Drink exports from the UK to Singapore were up 7.5% in 2016 to £299.7million.   

Featuring on the group are a number of Scottish companies, including Scottish shortbread manufacturer Dean’s, a family owned business, promoting a range of products including Gluten Free shortbread, Tomatin® whisky fruit cake and its newly extended range of shortbread in contemporary gift tubes designed specifically for Christmas.  

Organic olive oils for the discerning gourmet and food lover will feature from Avlaki Superb Organic Oils.   Harvested only in December when at their optimum for quality, the oils are bottled unfiltered as soon as possible to keep the exceptional taste, aroma and nutritients of fresh oil in the bottle.  Each label  shows the date of harvest, milling and bottling.

Amongst the innovative companies on the UK pavilion,  FAAs Trade, a UK-based family business, brings Hi, its hibiscus drink aimed at the growing number of health-conscience consumers. An exciting drink offeirng a tasty and a highly enjoyable experience

The UK's levy body responsible for meat and dairy exports, AHDB Exports, sees Singapore as one of the most attractive markets in the world for premium meat and food products. The country produces little food and needs to import it.  The UK is well placed due to the high quality of its fresh meats, meat and dairy products to supply this demanding market.

The FDEA strives to identify new opportunities for UK exporters and this first time show is one which holds great potential
