Gulfood Dubai

UKTI has appointed PS8 at the UK Accredited Trade Organiser for Gulfood 2012 with access to funding for eligible UK companies.

This leading show takes place from 19-22 February 2012 in the Dubai World Trade Centre attracting 81 international pavilions and buyers from 152 countries.  The show is one of the most important in the international food and drink trade calendar.

UKTI Grants of £1,400 are available for eligible UK food and drink producers exhibiting at the show.  Contact Sarah Briones to find out more.

New Recruit - Karen Beston joins the PS8 team

PS8 is delighted to announce that Karen Beston has joined the team as project manager to develop PS8's exhibitions and events service.

Karen brings a wealth of experience in international exhibitions, stand construction and event management.  Most recently working in the events team at The Grocer, Karen has previously been a key member of the exhibitions team at Food from Britain and the team responsible for Scotland's pavilions at a number of international shows.

Karen said "I am thrilled to be back working in the sector I love and with such a professional, well respected team.  I look forward to rebuilding my contacts, developing new events and seeing where PS8 can add value to a company's exhibit experience".

        The Exeter Festival of South West Food and Drink

PS8 was once again the appointed project management team for the highly praised Exeter Festival of South West Food & Drink, 29 April - 1 May 2011, an annual event celebrating the region's finest food and drink.  This 3 day consumer event in the heart of Exeter is a celebration of South West food & drink, led by Michelin star chef, MIchael Caines.  Featuring some of the best local food and drink producers, visitors also enjoy the Festival Cookery Theatre,  Festival Cafe plus the Food is Fun Teepee run by Darts Farm and an Eat Well Grow Well feature by local garden centre, Fermoys .  On top of all this, there was music to enjoy throughout the day and the popular Festival After Dark featuring local bands, delicious local food, real ales and cider.

ANUGA -  The PS8 team organised a UKTI supported UK pavilion of some 73 exhibitors at SIAL in Paris.  This was a larger participation that in 2008 and was a huge success.  2011's key trade show is ANUGA in Cologne – the world's largest food and drink trade show.  Recruitment is now underway.    More details available from PS8's Sarah Briones or visit our ANUGA page
